The building is great with new facilities (gym, community room, laundry to name a few) and a great team that's always approachable and happy to help. Yes, at times there's noise or a problem with the rubbish, but any issues are being dealt with in a fast, professional manner. Sascha and his team not only take care of anything related with your apartment, but are just a bunch of friendly, extremely helpful people.

Think about a time that you got scammed and multiply this by three. This is the definition of ilive for me. They find a various ways to milk you in every aspect. Deposit? Hahah you get the fraction of it! Any broken things or cleaning? You gotta pay it yourself! They promote gym but gym is as tiny as it gets! They promote events but there is nothing in the event. Just some chips You pay around 9 euros for washing and drying They increase the price every year. So if you are really desperate to find a place I guess you can go. However, I would avoid this place in any cost!

Update: There‘s water damage since the rainfalls in Summer 2025. it’s leaking in the rooms. There have been several occasions now where staff has entered my apartment without providing an explanation and without previous announcement. Things have disappeared after these incidents. tl;dr okay-ish but overpriced rooms, terrible accessibility and extremely toxic environment, AVOID AT ALL COSTS The big glaring issue the Neon Wood Student apartments is the large amount of students who are apparently only there to permanently party. These party happen with loud music very well into 3am. There’s a security service til 12am, but this is hardly effective as people just start partying afterwards. Then, the atmosphere is very toxic and lacking of respect. Since when you complain to your neighbors, they will physically attack you, throw eggs at your windows or otherwise respond very poorly. So, generally, it is more advisable to be careful and call the police instead. The house management adds to this toxic environment. When reporting misbehavior, the house management tries to deflect your complaints as much as possible. As an example, for the egging incident, their only response was „This is stalking, you have to go to the police“ even though the house management is very well the first address to complain to. Interestingly, it seems to depend on the way you dramatize your complaint. Neighbors that I directly asked before to turn down loud music that you could hear in large parts of the building managed to complain about this incident to the point where I got an official notice threatening me with termination of contract. It seems the house management is solely interested in maintaining the status quo of a „student-friendly“ meaning anything goes party environment. If you’re fine with the extreme toxicness of this environment, be warned that this building is hardly accessible. There are several staircases with each having a rather tight elevator. I think it is theoretically possible using a wheelchair to get from the entrance of the building to any of the apartments. Many doors are operated with a keycard though and only open by pushing/pulling manually. In some parts of the building, for example when trying to g to access the launderette from one side, there’s a steep flight of stairs. If you’re fine with the toxic environment and can work around the accessibility barriers, then you can find for 1300€-ish an okay apartment with good connectivity to public transport.

Ich muss sagen , seitdem ich in der Nähe lebe ist es extrem laut vor dem Apartment! Jugendliche sind so laut & versammeln sich davor ! Schreien & brüllen = Normalität!

I’ve been here for a year, my patner and I had a good studio apartment and we had a family emergency that needed extended stay and the staff was very helpful and especially the guys at the reception, very friendly, helpful and understanding, it may be a little pricey but it’s worth it, thanks

I've lived here from 2019 to 2023, and had generally declining experience with it. The current price for this kind of living quality is unacceptable. I even had an accident where small stones fell off the ceiling and destroyed my tablet. Though it was settled, this kind of accident should never happen. Note: the company behind this is now trying to remove reviews using the "defamation" claim.
