I ordered something that was 11 euros, I had card but no cash, they said with card you have to pay 20 euros, I complained and they said all right 11 euros, but only this time. I think this was absolute fraud, trying to take advantage of the fact that I'm a young looking lone foreigner.

Das beste Restaurant weit und breit! Ohne Reservierung geht fast nichts, aber manchmal geht für zwei Personen noch was. Wenn dann die Gäste für die Reservierung kommen, kann man noch zur unteren Terrasse wechseln und den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Das Essen ist ein Gedicht! So eine gute Scholle hatte ich noch nie auf dem Teller. Geschmack war total lecker, dazu Spargel und Kartoffelecken als Beilage mit Sauce Hollondaise (die auch extrem gut war). Der Service könnte ebenfalls nicht besser sein. Total freundlich und locker wird man empfangen und platziert, typisch Berliner Art aber von der nettesten Sorte. Die Preise sind gehoben aber total angemessen für das Gesamtpaket mit Aussicht auf die Havel.

The service is disgusting. The girl waiter draws a lot of attention to herself. She creates a feeling of bustle and complete chaos, although the place is supposed to have a relaxed atmosphere. We were served pasta with a long black hair. They argued with us instead of apologising. I wouldn't recommend this place. The rating is definitely inflated. The attitude is only an illusion. All our friends will avoid this place. Der Service ist ekelhaft. Die Kellnerin zieht viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich. Sie vermittelt ein Gefühl von Hektik und völligem Chaos, obwohl der Ort eine entspannte Atmosphäre suggeriert. Uns wurden Nudeln mit einem langen schwarzen Haar serviert. Sie haben mit uns gestritten, anstatt sich zu entschuldigen. Würde diesen Ort nicht empfehlen. Die Bewertung ist definitiv überhöht. Die Einstellung ist nur eine Illusion. Alle unsere Freunde werden diesen Ort meiden.

Ich war heute am Abend da mit 4 Freunde und das Essen ist echt krass und der Kuchen ein Muss. Und die Bedienung ist supeeeer.

One star. Very disappointing. The ribs were extremely hard — almost impossible to chew — and the grill flavor was completely missing. Nothing tasted fresh or well-seasoned. Way too expensive for what you get. Definitely not worth the price. I won’t be coming back.

I recently attended a birthday dinner for a friend at Verdis, and frankly, the experience left much to be desired. Right from the start, we were reminded of our limited time at the table, setting an unwelcoming tone that persisted throughout the evening. Despite being a party of six, we felt hurried and pressured to finish our meal quickly. To add insult to injury, when our party finally split, we were guided to another table, further highlighting the unnecessary rush we had endured. It was baffling to see that the party who took our spot only stayed for a drink, making the hurried service even more unjustified. What's worse, we had explicitly mentioned that we were gathering for a birthday celebration, expecting at least a modicum of consideration for the occasion. Unfortunately, it seemed our special event was of little importance to the staff at Verdis. Now, onto the food—disappointing would be an understatement. The flavors were lackluster, a far cry from the exceptional quality I've come to expect from Verdis. And let's talk about the cocktails. While I appreciate a strong drink, these were downright undrinkable, tasting more like pure rum or gin than a well-balanced cocktail. It's as if they forgot the concept of moderation altogether. Overall, Verdis fell short of its reputation. With subpar service and lackluster food and drinks, I can't help but feel let down. Here's hoping they step up their game and return to the standards that once made them a standout choice. Until then, I'll be exploring other dining options. ---------------- Somewhen 2022: 5 stars Friendly staff, as far as I can judge the food is good and tasty. The staff is helpful, and don't forget cocktail happy hour!
