Just completed a 7 night cultural holiday to Northern Cyprus no problems with flights . Hotels and daily tours ..First timexwith this company and would travel with them again..Great tour guide and drivers
Visit to northern Cyprus. Very much like many others have said. Massive push for sales at extended visits to jewellery, carpet and leather factories. Guides took three buses to restaurant in the middle of nowhere passing busy towns so that we were forced to eat at vastly inflated prices or literally go without food. Hotels were okay but out in the middle of nowhere. Flights times in middle of night. Overall actually works out poor value for money…
Absolutely fantastic. Well thought and planned trip of their new balkans trip. Stunning countryside and Absolutely wow factor of places like Kotor ,ohrid and stunning monasteries which alot are world heritage sites. Could not fault the driver nor our guide.
I would not recommend RSD travel to anyone and will certainly not be using this company ever again. Please read the literature very carefully as although the beautiful UNESCO sites are visited you do not get nearly enough time to explore (barely 2 hours in each place), with the focus being on the HARD sell at carpet, jewel and leather factories. I recently went on the Rhodes/turkey trip. To keep this short and to the point I would not let any of my older relatives on this holiday though that is the main demographic. The trips out, though beautiful are about 2 hours long (some of the sites are large and you don't get to see it all) because you are then rushed to a carpet/jewellery/leather factory. Appalling Experience – Avoid RSD Travel Our experience with RSD Travel was nothing short of a disgrace. What was advertised as a luxurious cultural holiday turned out to be a well-organised scam. There's a lot of coach travel involved in the Balkans tour - about 1500 km. Some early starts and late arrivals at hotels. The gourmet package is essential to avoid going hungry in the evenings but don't expect gourmet food. Hotel standards are variable from good to poor. Had a great time despite some shortcomings. Great value.
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Croatia, Bosnia hergovina and Montenegro . Thank you RSD as always your holidays are fantastic. We went October 23rd for 2 weeks . Very impressed with our first experience of RSD travel. Excellent organisation and planning and super competent guide took us round 4 countries in the Southern Balkans we would not have dreamt of exploring on our own.
Great tour of 7 days, 10-17 April 2025. Just before the season starts off, but these were our free dates. Extremely enjoyable, our experienced guide and coach driver were excellent, one for local info & friendliness and the second for safe transportation. The scenery was spectacular. Advertised as a 5 star tour! Well unfortunately it was anything but! We booked this relatively inexpensive holiday thinking bargain, that should’ve been a red flag. Beware the glossy marketing literature! for its content is generalised & open to interpretation. We should have known better. Awful company, dont waste your money, did North Cyprus not that much to see that they took us to, except Carpet, Diamond and Leather factory all of which we were in for 2 hours each, with over inflated prices with a very hard sell, we also got the hard sell from the guide about the factory`s. He was exremly rude to people on the coach, who give him his living and complained that he did not get enough tips from us, well good service gets good tip…
I’m giving 2 stars because the company actually exists and the holiday “technically” actually happened BUT I would NOT recommend booking a tour with RSD travel. The majority of your time is spent in the bus and you hardly see anything authentic about the country you are visiting. Could not recommend even if I was paid too. The company's travel information was completely wrong. They left people stranded! The hotels ranged from pretty good to terrible. The tour guide just read descriptions from Trip advisor. The bus only ever stopped long enough to buy food and use the loo. If I could give 0 stars I would. I sent an email of complaint detailing 41 points of complaint. Essentially the tour guide left people behind on a trip, mis-sold all inclusive packages, the hotels used by the RSD are inferior and their food quality was disgusting. We went on the 15 day Aegean tour, don't bother is my advice. We will never travel with RSD tours again and would actively discourage anyone else from doing so.
Be prepared: extremely early hours of the night flights and very early morning starts each day, not getting to your hotel until late and having to rush down to dinner before an early night. Long waits and border crossings many times. This except for day 6 and 7 where the day was wasted hanging around and in the worst hotel with nothing to do and no running water .
