I shopped at this store Friday, 16.01.2026 and I think it'll be my last time. I needed very low-fat ground beef, which I usually buy loose, not packed. For nearly 10 minutes, I was waiting for someone to ask what I wanted but none of the numerous sellers even looked my way, so I myself talk to them. One of them, a tall lady with a pony tail, who was expexted to serve me, deliberately ignored me and took care of customers before and after me in the line. Another one, a tiny lady wearing glasses, finally talked to me and took care of me after serving 5 other customers who were behind me. I don't know who trains the customer service staff at EDEKA/Simmel at Reichstraße Gera but, whoever it is, they're doing a terrible job losing sales through sloppy and biased customer service. I have never seen a polite staff member at EDEKA. They are always nervous_ not to mention higher prices of every given item at this store.
