Very cold and not hospitable service. We arrived around 14:30 as we saw the hotel has a restaurant, wanting to get a warm cup of coffee as it's very cold outside and we went on a nice long walk (the area is calm and beautiful). We were literally turned away (and there's no coffee) and told to come back after 15:00 when check-in opens, so we went back out in the cold. Same stingy attitude around dinner. There's a buffet with drinks from 18:00 (for €25) but if you want to get a drink even five minutes before and sit down at a table, you're told to pay extra for it. And just one minute after the 1,5h buffet end time as well pay up for anything you take. Dinner consisted of uninspiring meaty food like a dry rollade and potatos. Not much for people who don't want to eat animals. Our dinner plate was also taken away as soon as it was empty. If only German trains were this punctual! The room is decent and fairly clean. No amenities like a simple kettle (and we couldn't get a drink outside of the very controlled times). At least the breakfast was nice and elaborate, and the staff in the morning seemed more friendly. The location is decent as well. Still, wouldn't recommend going to a hotel where you're made to feel unwelcome. Also had to pay for dinner in cash, so remember to bring cash if you do stay here!
