I had a disappointing experience today at this hospital in Leipzig. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30, but I arrived early at 9:15 and registered at the front desk as instructed. I was then asked to wait. By 9:50, I still had not been called, so I politely approached the front desk again to ask about the delay, especially because I had a university class to attend soon. I was told that I would be attended to next, but shortly after, another patient was called in instead. At that point, I had no choice but to leave. As an international Black African student, experiences like this can unfortunately leave you questioning fairness and equal treatment, especially when communication is poor and others are attended to ahead of you despite being early. I understand delays can happen in hospitals, but professionalism, transparency, and respectful treatment of all patients are very important.
