Exponate zur Steinzeit, Antike und Lokalgeschichte. Museum befindet sich in einer Kirche, Angestellte sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eintritt ist nicht teuer, man kann recht viel Zeit dort verbringen wenn man sich alles durchliest, oder schnell wieder draußen sein wenn man nur die Ausstellungsstücke bestaunen möchte. Besonders interessant fand ich den Teil der Ausstellung zum Mithras-Kult, über den ich vorher beinahe nichts gewusst …
A very good museum with a nice guide audio in English. It covers an interesting history of the Frankfurt area.
It is possible to take advantage of their regularly scheduled English Tours. These take place at 3pm (1500) the last Sunday of the month April through October. The extra fee is 3-5 eu. Private tours in English, for small or large groups, are easy to schedule by sending an email request through their website-the regular tour also includes the Kaiserpfalz location.
Very small. Also confusing because it is quite empty. Some articles displayed are quite antique but not highlighted as much.
Wonderful exhibits but a pity mostly in German so come prepared with mobile data and battery power. Spent almost 3 hours here despite not knowing a word of German. It’s a pity many visitors are put off by the lack of English. Hope they get the funding for English translations soon.
